Firdell are a radar technology company providing products and services for the defense, buoyage, shipping and leisure marine industry.

This rigorous approach to the design of its radar reflectors has enabled large numbers of Firdell reflectors to be incorporated into military systems in use with British Armed Forces and NATO. The NATO codification of Firdell’s products and the issuing of NATO Stock Numbers indicate formal approval to exacting standards.

The Firdell Blipper is one of the smallest practical effective radar reflector on the market. It is the smallest unit in the Firdell range and is ideally suited to the needs of most leisure marine craft both power and sail. It is used by small military surface craft and has a NATO Stock Number (NSN).

Its small size minimises windage and makes it hoistable. Its size also make it attractive for installations where space is at a premium, for example RIBs, Angling Craft etc.

Mounting Brackets are available to allow simple mounting, singlely or in pairs, to the structure or masts of boats. Two tubular mounts are available for mast-less installation and a fold down mounting bracket when space is really tight or the vessel has to regularly negotiate low bridges. This has a detachable bracket where the reflector can be dismounted and stowed.
